With many earthquake policies you are forced to accept high deductibles. This means if an earthquake damages your home and its contents, you will find yourself covering the bulk of the expenses. You can lower your deductible to as little as 5% (not available in all areas. Please check with your agent).

A BETTER OPTION

We offer you the option of a Preferred policy with superior coverage and optional deductibles, or the extra value of an Enhanced policy for the budget-minded. If you have a Condo instead of a free standing home, we have a policy that is just for you. Earthquake Survival Checklist

Be sure to have an emergency kit with extra food, water, first aid, batteries and other essentials
Make sure your water heater is secured
Familiarize yourself with gas and water shut off valves and install an automatic gas shut off valve.
Secure tall furniture to the walls
Keep heavy objects and frames away from your bed
Make sure you know the safe places to take cover in an earthquake
Have an outside family meeting place
Have a designated phone number out of area to let family know of your status
Keep a flashlight near where you sleep… earthquakes can happen at night.
